The Last Couple Years

The last couple years my life as a Christ follower have taken a Big turn.  I know this might sound dramatic, but it’s not.  It has been a little by little change.  It started after I was awakened to some  new paradigms concerning God’s Love and Grace.  These  were things that I had learned early on as a new Christian, back in May of 1974.  It’s hard for me to fathom, that I had to come all the way back to the beginning  to find what I was looking for. A relationship with the Living God.  It was how I started so long ago, but was sidetracked by so many teachings, and books and speakers etc.  He was there the whole time, right there with me.  For the most part the teaching in Institutional church on following Jesus is really lacking, or I’m a real moron.  Probably a little of both.  I went on a search for Something MUCH Bigger, Something MUCH more sophisticated, Something with a lot more glitz and glamor I guess.  What I’ve come back to, is a poor, probably not very well educated, not very well dressed, and probably not all that handsome of a carpenter.  He just happens to be an exact representation of His Father.  He Just happens to be “THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE”.  The “MOST HIGH GOD”.  He may be very complex in some regards, very Awesome in every way, but to me He’s just Daddy, and He loves me sooooooo much, it’s just unbelievable.  That’s where I am right now, and he’s patiently leading and guiding me each day with such patience, and love.  We are having a great time together.

    Ditto Rick,
“Having a great time together” in His Love means rest and freedom, eh?
Your use of the word “MUCH” and even “MUCH more” reminded me of the “much more”s in Rom. 5… only finding deeper truth (rest/freedom) in the Father/Son instead of the traditions/teachings of men.
Enjoy His blessings (spiritual) further, and ever-increasing brother!

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
